This event is for project and program managers responsible for driving cyber readiness with open-source software in their solutions, including CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, CSOs, compliance officers, risk officers, technology architects, program managers, engineers, and others involved in cybersecurity, information security, IT, compliance, software engineering, cloud, and DevOps. The discussion will cover important topics in emerging technologies such as those outlined in White House Executive Order 14028, OMB M-22-18, and DoD/CISA Zero Trust Frameworks.


About the speakers:

Cate Richards is the Director of Federal Programs at Sonatype, Inc. with a focus on securing software supply chains for public safety. She manages all Sonatype software sales and client relationships within her territory and is an advisory board member for NSPE. With over 30 years of experience in the Federal and State & Local sector, Cate has served as an educator, solution developer, information architect, and software client executive. Her family's military history inspired her to focus on this sector. Cate is a Gold Star Mom of a USMC Scout Sniper and volunteers for veteran organizations. Prior to Sonatype, Cate held various positions leading Federal Sales and Industry Solutions teams for Public Sector organizations, including IBM, where she led North America Public Sector Solutions sales. Cate is an eight-time best-selling author and holds a master's degree in business administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing.

Austin Steffes is a Sales Engineer at Sonatype, dedicated to driving innovation and solving organizational challenges. With a keen interest in supply chain security, he leverages his understanding of current business processes to develop technical solutions. Prior to Sonatype, Austin held positions in Software Engineering and NLP Engineering.
